Site inspection to resolve landmark demarcation issues: Cachar, DC.

Cachar DC, Keerthi Jalli, conducted a joint site inspection on Friday to sort out the issues of demarcation of land for the work of improvement of the road from Silchar town to Assam University upto Irongmara Bazar of Silchar-Hailakandi Road (18km).
Due to the need in demarcation of land for the construction of side drains, the progress of the works slowed down according to the contractor. Immediate completion of demarcation of work was instructed by Jalli to the Circle Officer of Silchar along with the consultations of PWD staff. The Circle Officer, Silchar, Nabaneeta Hazarika informed that the demarcation of land from Kathal Point to Rangirkhari Point will be completed within a period of two days. The drainage work will also be completed within a period of a month post the completion of land demarcation as said by the contractor.
The Deputy Commissioner visited the site near Barakhai High School and discussed regarding the problem of encroachment and ensured that the road construction will begin as soon as possible once the legal works are done.
The officials who accompanied Jalli during the joint site inspection were, Circle Officer, Silchar Superintending Engineer PWRD, Circle cum I/C Executive Engineer, PWRD, Assistant Executive Engineer,PWRD and contractor of Gautam Construction.
